Here’s a simple, clear recipe to make it at home.

Ingredients

For cleaning & boiling

  • 1 kg chicken feet

  • Water

  • 1 tbsp salt

  • 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1 bay leaf (optional)

For marinade

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp ginger powder

  • ½ tsp chili powder (optional)

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp milk or water

For coating

  • 1 cup flour

  • ½ cup cornstarch

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

For frying

  • Vegetable oil (deep frying)


Step 1: Clean the chicken feet (important)

  1. Cut off the nails.

  2. Wash with water + salt + vinegar.

  3. Rinse very well.


Step 2: Boil

  1. Put chicken feet in a pot.

  2. Add water, garlic, bay leaf, salt.

  3. Boil 15–20 minutes (until soft but not falling apart).

  4. Drain and let cool completely.


Step 3: Marinate

  1. In a bowl, mix all marinade ingredients.

  2. Add chicken feet and mix well.

  3. Rest 30 minutes (or 1 hour for better taste).


Step 4: Coat

  1. Mix flour + cornstarch + spices.

  2. Coat each chicken foot well.

  3. For extra crisp: dip again in marinade → flour again.


Step 5: Fry

  1. Heat oil (medium-high).

  2. Fry until golden and very crispy (5–7 minutes).

  3. Remove and drain on paper towel.


Optional Sauce (like fast food)

  • Mayo

  • Hot sauce

  • Honey

  • Garlic powder
