After the dough has risen, preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a Dutch oven or heavy oven-safe pot with a lid in the oven while it preheats.
Cut a piece of parchment paper large enough to fit the dough and place it in the pot. This helps prevent sticking and makes it easier to remove the bread later.
Shape the Dough:
Gently scrape the dough out of the bowl onto a floured surface. Shape it into a ball by folding the edges into the center. Be gentle so you don’t deflate the dough too much.
Place the dough on the parchment paper, then cover it and let it rest while the oven preheats.
Bake the Bread:
Once the oven is preheated, carefully remove the hot pot from the oven (use oven mitts!). Place the dough with parchment paper into the pot, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the bread has a golden-brown, crispy crust.
Cool and Serve:
Remove the bread from the pot and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Enjoy your crusty, delicious no-knead bread! It’s perfect for sandwiches or as a side to any meal.
