The story of the dentist son of a father with Down syndrome.
Social media has witnessed numerous moving stories that have inspired millions around the world, showing us realities that defy expectations and prejudices.

One of these exemplary stories is that of Sader Issa, a dentist whose path to success was shaped by the love and determination of his father, Jad Issa, who has Down syndrome, demonstrating that the power of love can make possible even what seems impossible to many.

The story of Sader and Jad challenges one of the most common stigmas related to people with Down syndrome: the belief that they cannot be parents.

Despite the challenges that conception can present when one parent has Down syndrome, Sader is living proof that it is possible to have a child without inheriting chromosome 21 from his father.
His father, Jad Issa, a 46-year-old man with Down syndrome from Syria, has broken down all the barriers surrounding this condition, creating a loving family and providing his son with an education. Sader is now a successful dentist.

For Jad, it wasn’t just his extra chromosome that made finding love and starting a family more difficult, but also living in a war-torn country.
However, his life had other plans. While working in the fields, Jad met Samir, the woman who would become his wife and the mother of his child, overcoming all the barriers of love.

In 1997, the strength of their love bore fruit, and they brought a little boy into the world, still fearing he might have the same condition as his father. Thus, Sader was born, a perfectly healthy child who would bring joy to his home.
Sader received all the love from his parents, and he affirmed that his father’s Down syndrome was never an impediment to him being a loving father and husband, and that he also provided him with an education based on values.

“That didn’t stop him from raising me with more love and care than you can imagine. Thanks to him, I grew up with emotional strength and achieved everything I set out to do.”

Sader Issa said this during an interview for Down Spain.
