Cake lovers

Ingredients
For the Cake:

3 cups all-purpose flour

2.5 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 cup whole milk or buttermilk

For the Buttercream:

2 cups unsalted butter, softened

6–8 cups powdered sugar, sifted

2–4 tbsp heavy cream or milk

1 tbsp vanilla extract

Food coloring (if needed — in this case, mostly ivory or yellow for a creamy “fur” look)

Decoration:

Black fondant or candy melts (for eyes and nose)

Brown fondant or chocolate (for the collar)

Optional: piping gel or edible markers for added detail

Cake Preparation Steps

Bake the Cake Layers:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
